Shenzhen, China – Orbotech Pacific Ltd., today announced that Founder Printed Circuit Board Development Limited (Founder PCB) is standardizing its CAM operations at the Company’s high density interconnect (HDI) site with the purchase and implementation of InCAM™, the new, advanced computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) system for pre-production HDI and IC packaging, developed by Frontline PCB Solutions.
“We began using InCAM for urgent, high-value jobs a year ago when the system was still in its pre-launch stage,” said Ms. Lei Honghui, FounderPCB’s HDI plant PE Manager. “We saw immediate improvements in throughput, which increased further as more staff was trained. We also noticed a better interface between CAM and engineering via InCAM’s intelligent reporting capabilities. Following excellent operator feedback, we decided to switch our entire CAM department to InCAM.”
Ms. Lei futher explained: “The combination of InCAM’s powerful DFMs that eliminate hours of manual work and its expert handling of mixed layers and fine lines enables us to produce HDI designs at a much faster rate. We expect further cycle time reduction by incorporating collaborative processing in the near future. Another key advantage for Founder is the standardization of the CAM process, made possible by InCAM's CAM Guide feature — a custom-built guide that leads operators through the entire process flow.”
Mr. Richard Klapholz, President of Orbotech Pacific Ltd., said: “We highly appreciate Founder’s decision to purchase InCAM. This new generation solution benefits our customers by enhancing the speed and efficiency of HDI and IC packaging board production with its innovative concepts and advanced front-end processing capabilities.”
About InCAM™
InCAM™ is a comprehensive, innovative CAM system for HDI and IC packaging PCB manufacturers that combines editing and analysis with automatic design-for-manufacture optimization to perform high-precision CAM tooling, with maximum efficiency and speed — helping manufacturers achieve lasting profitability and a competitive edge. InCAM supports yield growth by enabling operators to multi-task and run advanced processes in the background, using the computer's multi-core CPU capabilities. Cycle time is dramatically shortened as colleagues team up on jobs in a data-secure, collaborative environment. InCAM delivers improved data integrity and fault indication by allowing interactive post-processing on selected DFM results. In addition, InCAM operators can enjoy a streamlined user interface and remarkably easy-to-use tools. Backwards compatibility with Genesis2000, for both data and automation, drives productivity even further.
